Norwood Meet the Teacher

Enrollment

Norwood Elementary School serves students in Kindergarten through Fifth (5th) Grade. You may come to the school to enroll students during our regular business hours or pick up an enrollment packet for your future tiger.

Enrollment for students who are new to the districts must be completed in person by a parent or legal guardian.

Daily Schedule

At Norwood, the doors open at 7:10 a.m. for arrival.

The school day begins at 7:45 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m. on regular school days. 

Students must attend for at least 3.5 hours to be counted present for the day.

After School Care

Boys and Girls Club is Norwood's only on-site after-care provider, but several other organizations offer pickup and transportation to off-site programs.

Extracurricular Activities

Norwood Elementary School offers several after school and extracurricular opportunities. Through these clubs and others, students have the opportunity to expand their classroom learning, get to know peers with similar interests, and explore new skills.

The entire staff of Norwood Elementary School is committed to establishing an atmosphere in which children will feel safe, secure, and happy so they maximize their opportunities to learn and achieve. The school has trained counselors and social workers on staff.

Library / Media Center

Our library is a hub for student learning, reading, and discovery. In addition to the school library, teachers may maintain individual collections of age-appropriate books in their classrooms to support literacy and foster a love of reading.
